This is going to be a great month of Fasting, Praying, and Focusing on some critical things.
One of the most important things I want to highlight to clients and members is…
"You Are The Business!"
I reminded my Inner Circle of this the other night, and I want to stress that to you today.
What Is Business?
I know this is where so many people get stuck, the idea and concept of business.
Just hearing the word conjures up these images of a corporation in a large office building with numerous employees.
This perception is what keeps so many people in fear of starting their business.
It also keeps budding entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals in overwhelm… because they don’t believe they have a “real” business unless they’re shooting for the largest building and the most employees.
This is wrong!
You have to start viewing business as the Activities of Life—business is everywhere, all around you.
From the computer or phone you're reading this on, to the coffee shop or farmer’s market you'll visit today.
From the online purchases you'll make this week to the work you’ll do to generate income.
It’s all business.
When you begin to see this clearly, your focus shifts from external factors to the best ways to do business, from your unique strengths and passions.
Old Business Models Are Dying
You don’t have to look far to see that the businesses of the 1800s, 1900s, and early 2000s are dying. The power has shifted from large corporations to individuals.
Today, you have as much computing power at your disposal as many large companies had 20 or 30 years ago… which is why you see so many closing down.
Technology and distribution are making them obsolete.
Here’s the big problem for us as individuals: much of the education we received was built on outdated models.
We are still stuck in much of that old thinking and the mindsets it produced.
New Business Models
In order to be successful today, we have to completely re-educate ourselves and develop new, more powerful mindsets.
This shift requires you to stop focusing on so many external factors and start focusing on you.
Who you really are. The unique talents, skills, gifts, and strengths that you were given by your Creator.
Nothing is going to make you happier or provide more profitable opportunities than discovering…
- Your Purpose
- Your Strengths
- Your Gifts
- Your Talents
…and then living and sharing them every day with the people you're meant to serve.
The cherry on top is that you get well compensated for just being you.
The Business of You!
Now, don’t get me wrong.
Building the business of you is not a cakewalk.
It requires hard work, learning new skills, and mastering new technologies.
But the rewards are tremendous.
Because when you’re in control of your life and business, you experience a different type of freedom.
You will experience a joy that comes from operating in your strengths, gifts, and talents—not from trying to fit into someone else's mold or acquiescing to someone else’s vision.
When you are the business, you tap into your own source of power. This is what will keep you energized, passionate, and committed.
Positioning Yourself as the Key Person
In today’s world, you aren’t just building a business—you’re building a personal brand.
The key to success is positioning yourself as a Key Person in your field.
When you embrace you as the business, you can leverage your unique voice and story to create a brand that is powerful and magnetic.
Think about it: you have access to more tools than ever before to position yourself as the go-to person in your area—whether it's through speaking, writing, podcasts, or social media.
The future of business is about creating a space where you stand out, and that begins with understanding your purpose and sharing it authentically.
The Freedom You Seek
And yes, there will be challenges.
Building the business of you means facing those challenges head-on.
But it also means embracing the growth and opportunities that come with them.
It’s about constantly learning and adapting in ways that align with your core values and unique strengths.
It’s about knowing that your business isn’t just what you do—it’s who you are. And when you operate in that place, you will find success that is both fulfilling and sustainable.
The Road Ahead
For some of you reading this, the idea of putting yourself at the center of your business may feel uncomfortable or even foreign.
But when you look at the times we are living in, you’ll see the truth in this: the world is shifting.
You can go do work that doesn’t excite or motivate you.
You can continue to surround yourself with people who don’t share your ambitions or interests.
But, eventually, you’ll feel frustrated, overwhelmed, burned out, unappreciated, and under compensated.
You'll look back and say, “I should've started building my life and business this way when Brother B. said it.”
And even then, it won't be too late.
Because it's never too late to discover your unique gifts, talents, and purpose—and live them every day.
Remember: you are the business.
